What should you expect on your first visit for a massage

What should you expect on your first visit for a massage?

If you've never had a professional massage, you would first need to fill out our form stating if you had any injuries and where the pain is located or if it's just a Swedish massage for relaxation we can do that.

You then would enter the room disrobe to your comfort level. Lay face down on top of one sheet and under the other so that you are fully covered. Your massage therapist will then knock on the door ask if you are ready you can respond with the appropriate answer.

Once the massage therapist is allowed to enter the room they will explain to you that they will do some centering techniques. You will be asked to take some deep breaths and then they will start to massage,

The first 5 -15 minutes is spreading the lotion and warming up the muscles. After that the massage becomes deeper to the level of  pressure  that is comfortable to the client. The massage therapist should be checking in with a client often to find out if the pressure is enough or if you need more.

Massage should never hurt for any reason not even a deep tissue. The flow of the massage should be consistent and the therapist shouldn't walk away from the table or leave client unattended. Your massage can be anywhere between thirty minutes to an hour and thirty minutes.

You and your massage therapist can decide how often and how long your massages should be. Some people come several times a week and some come once a week. We do offer a special rate if you would like to schedule and pay for multiple sessions at once. **We do allow sharing of sessions**

Massage helps relieves stress and remove toxins from attaching to muscles. Massage is a great way to get the blood flowing and feel energized. There are many techniques used by massage therapists and we can tailor your sessions to fit your needs.
